“The Changeless Christ for a Changing World” Speaker: Dr. Walter A. Maier. We present a classic Lutheran Hour message from the program’s founder and first speaker, Dr. Walter A. Maier. This message was originally broadcast the day after Christmas, 1937. (Hebrews 13:8)
DATE CHANGE: Quarterly Voter’s Assembly is changed from Sunday Aug. 1 to Sunday, Aug. 8, following our 9 am worship service.
A memorial service was held Saturday, July 24, for Ruth Reppert. We remember this family in our prayers.
Baptized this weekend is Riley James Kaup, son of Dustin and Jamie Kaup. We welcome Riley into our St. Paul family and pray for God’s blessings on this little one.
Married at our altar on Saturday, July 24, was Jim O’Gorman and Brenda Perdue. We remember this couple in our prayers.
Excitement is in the air as another year of preschool gets closer. If you know a preschooler who would like to join our St. Paul family, call Sallie Rosenthal at 402-720-4297 or email srosenthal@q.com., or they are welcome to come to our open house Tuesday, Aug. 10, 6 pm. We welcome all 3-5 yr olds and have two day, three day or five day sessions available. Tuition assistance is also available.

HELP NEEDED: There are still some Crew Chiefs and workers spots available on the sign up sheets for St. Paul Fair Stand.
Please take a look and help out by signing up early.
Donations of pies are needed for St. Paul Fair stand. We use an average of 150 pies each year. Pies can be homemade or purchased from a bakery.
Thank you to those who donated forks and other tableware to the church kitchen.
Ladies Aid
Pictorial Directories can be picked up from the church office. Those who had pictures taken by Olan Mills receive one free directory. Additional directories are available for $5 each.
St. Paul Lutheran School’s seventh annual Golf Scramble is Sunday, August 22, at Indian Trails Golf Course. Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Flights. $50 entry fee per person includes a meal before and after. Limited to the first 36 paid teams. Call Don Brockmann at 372-3155 or 402-936-1855 to register your team or to donate items for the silent auction. (Cart rental is extra.) Serving starts at 10:30 am. 12:00 Shotgun start. Pin prizes. Silent auction in the clubhouse.
Deb Schademann will again take part in the Lutherans for Life Bike Ride, Aug. 2-4.
Riders start out at Glenwood, IA and end in Nevada for over 150 miles of bicycling. The head office for Lutherans for Life is located in Nevada and bikers will have an opportunity to visit the facilities and hear a special speaker. Deb welcomes sponsors and/or donations for Lutherans for Life. A sheet is located in the back of church to sponsor Deb, or give her a call at 372-0160.
College Students: Get connected to a campus ministry before you get on campus.
Visit www.lcmscampusministry.org and click on the StudentConnect service. It’s free—and can make a difference. An LCMS Pastor or campus ministry worker from the campus community will contact students personally and offer information about the local Lutheran campus ministry and how to get involved there.
