COVID-19  Rule Reminders
While it is no surprise that COVID-19 rules are causing change for us all, it is still important to follow the rules as they are set by the local government and health departments.   As the State of Nebraska and/or the Health Department adjust the rules, expect our school rules to change accordingly.

If ANYONE in Your House has a Positive Test Result:
You need to call/text Mrs. Schroeder to inform school.  Current guidelines are that ALL Household members stay home until able to return on date set by ELVPHD.

If EXPOSED to someone who has now tested positive for COVID-19 :
You need to call/text Mrs. Schroeder to inform the school. Current guidelines have changed since the beginning of school, now only the person(s) who were in close contact with positive COVID-19 person are required to quarantine, before the whole family had to quarantine.

If awaiting test results for COVID-19 :
Please error on the side of caution and keep yourself and your immediate household home. Thank you. (added 12/2/2020)

Parents, we are asking you to refrain from entering the building.
Please call before arrival or wait at the door for someone to help you.

Mrs. Tammy Schroeder is the school contact person for all matters relating to COVID-19.
Her contact information:  tschroeder@stpaulwpne.org  cell:  402-380-9175

These rules are to keep our students, staff and families safe and healthy.
Again, if you have any concerns or questions please let us know.

Update to our COVID-19 policy/Remote Learning.

“RED Health Dial” -- This week we are sad to say, the Health Dial moved into the "Red."  However after careful consideration, we are opting to stay in school as long as possible, even though our original COVID-19 Plan was to go to Remote Learning at Red.  School is a very safe place for students to stay, because of all our health and safety protocols. There has been zero student cases within our school system therefore we feel best to continue serving our students and following our cleaning and masking policies.  Should the area Health Departments recommend changes then we will reevaluate as needed.
Thank you, God Bless, wash your hands, say your prayers, and of course, spread the Gospel not germs.

My Child Has Symptoms ..... Now what?
As we get into school, there’s lots of questions on when do I need to keep my child at home.
1. If your child has a fever, stay home! Until fever free with no medication for 24 hours.
2. If your child vomits. Stay home! Until 24 hours have passed since last time.
3. If your child has a new Cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, new loss of taste/smell, stay home!
4. Cold/Flu Symptoms:   2 OR MORE RULE.
If your child has 2 or more of the following please stay home!
Chills, Rigors, Myalgia (muscle aches), Headache, Sore Throat, Nausea, Diarrhea, Congestion, Runny Nose.
We have implemented these rules in accordance with the 3Rivers Health Dept to help guide parents and school staff on these new regulations.  Please see the link for the full handout with explanations on when to come back to school school and when to stay home.

Hello Dearest School Families -   Perhaps the most important thing the know about the COVID-19 Health Policy is that it will be modified and adjusted as the school year progresses.
St. Paul Lutheran School staff, board of education and church are grateful to have you as a part of our school family.  We will work together to meet the challenges of this school year and a blessed to work in a loving Christian environment.  We truly care for you and your family.   As such, should you have any concerns, please don't be shy and ask for any clarification or assistance as we are here to help.   Our school theme Bible verse this year is so very fitting, "And He is before all things and in Him all things hold together."  Col 1:17
Certainly in this pandemic, remembering that Christ holds all things together can bring us comfort and soothe our uncertainty.  Blessings friends and family.  - Mrs. Dana Meiergerd
