In a matter of four months (May-August) I will have seen my youngest graduate high school and send him off to college. I have had the honor of having a daughter on loan for a little while only to stand back watch her become a woman in a blink of an eye and marry the man that God had put aside for her. Oh yes- God sent me on another adventure, as your Kindergarten and First Grade teacher. There is always something new. |

Mrs. Koehlmoos taught at St. Paul Lutheran School, West Point, NE for 22-years until she resigned her teaching position in early 2020 to take care of their oldest daughter, who was diagnosed with cancer. The past six years she has been substitute teaching at Wisner-Pilger Public Schools in various preschool & elementary classrooms, as well as anywhere else she was needed. Mrs. Susan Quick Principal, Music & Algebra Teacher & SPED Director Education: Mrs. Quick Graduated from Chadron State College with a Bachelors in K-12 Mild/Moderate Special Education and a Masters in Educational Administration/SPED Supervisor. She has worked as a paraprofessional in SPED and Alternative Education before returning to finish her degree once her children were grown. Pastor John P. Gierke
Pastor Education: Pastor Gierke received his BA from Concordia University, Nebraska in Seward in 1991 (History major, Religious Education minor, Pre-Seminary program), and his MDiv and Theological Diploma from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO in 1996. He also studied at the seminary of the LCMS’ sister-Synod in Germany, Lutherische Theologische Hochschule, in Oberursel, Germany during the 1993-1994 school year as an exchange student. He served in various pastoral roles in the LCMS and its Mid-South District in Tennessee and Arkansas before accepting the Call from St. Paul Lutheran Church and School and coming to West Point in March 2022.
