Ready for school?... well almost...

Just a few more days before the first day of school.  Are you ready?  Ready or not here it comes before you know it! 

My girls can't sleep they are so excited to be back in school.  We've been busy this summer with swim team, Camp Luther, vacations, and 4-H, we've made new friends and have been lucky to catch up with a few old friends too. 

Teachers have been busy back in the classrooms picking out new materials, locker tags, books, markers, well everything really.

Mae has even been sneaking in and decorating the halls. She really enjoys taking care of the large bulletin boards in the hallways.  Did you know that we save one board just for newspaper clippings of students and teachers? Yup sure do. 

Just a few reminders before school starts...
*don't forget the tissues and anti-bacterial wipes
*don't skip breakfast
*missed registration night? well we can forgive you :) Just pick up the paperwork in the office.
*take a first day of school photo. Your kids might think it's dorky, but hey it's not really for them anyway.
*one of my favorite things about St Paul is that you walk your child right into his/her classroom.  Any day, every day.  It's very reassuring as a parent to see your little one in the place they spend so much time.  (oh yeah, it's nice to get one more hug before you go too!)
